Alleen Curtis 2022

Alleen Curtis, of Gray Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 86.
Born in Coughlan’s, she was the daughter of the late William and Sadie (Cook) Coughlan. She worked in food services with Forrest Protection and prior to that she worked in the Tabacco Fields, in Ontario. She was a member of St Agnes Anglican Church, in Gray Rapids.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Helen (Allan) of Millerton; four sons Audrey of Gray Raids, Rickey of Gray Rapids, Preston (Michelle) of White Rapids, and Dwain of Barnettville; three sisters Shirley (Carl Kennedy) of Gray Rapids, Vada Curtis of Blackville, and Anna of Barrie, ON; sister-in-law Ruth Gallan of Doyle’s Brook; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Arnold Curtis; son Raymond Curtis; sisters Gloria and Jean; brothers Millet, Wilson, Frank, and Sherman; grandsons Mitchell and Kevin; and great grandson Blake.
Alleen was a godmother to many and loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the staff in Palliative Care and the staff of Extra Mural for the excellent care given to Alleen. They would also like to extend their appreciate to an extra special lady, Aleatha Clarke, and to Father Laskey.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 6 pm, from St Agnes Anglican Cemetery, in Gray Rapids.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St Agnes Cemetery Fund.
