WONNACOTT, Alice Winnifred
At Quinte Healthcare Belleville General Hospital, on Saturday February 12th, 2022. Alice Wonnacott of Belleville passed away in her 93rd year. Alice was predeceased by her husband George William Wonnacott in 2012. Alice and George worked together in the family business W. Wonnacott & Sons Jewelers until their retirement in 1994. Alice leaves behind her son Douglas of Hamilton (Darlene) and Mary Wonnacott-Styles (Dennis) of Brockville. Alice is also nannie to Michael Wonnacott of Hamilton, Jennifer Wonnacott Raposo (Mike) of Stratford, Tom Hills of Ottawa and Kate Hills of Brockville. Loved by her great granddaughter Charlotte Raposo. Alice leaves behind her sister Barbara and her husband Ron Robinson of Kingston and is predeceased by brothers Bob Matthews and Jack Matthews, her parents Daisy Alice Matthews and John Maxwell Matthews. Arrangements entrusted to McConnell Funeral Home, Tweed. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Belleville on a date to be determined. Please check funeral home website for update on information. Interment will follow in the spring. Donations may be made to Christ Church, Belleville, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the charity of your choice.
