With sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of our mom, Alice Syryduk, at Hogarth Riverview Manor on July 8, 2022, with her two daughters Donna and Cindy by her bedside.
Alice loved her children. She liked to go and visit with her mom and talk about things. Mom was a very hard worker; she worked at Beacon Hill Lodge for many years as a nurse’s aide, then at McKellar Hospital as a nurse’s aide. Alice was well liked and a very caring person. You couldn’t find a better person like mom.
Alice liked to spend time at the Casino and go for walks, but most of all she liked to play her tickets: Bingo and Crossword. In mom’s early days she liked to go fishing. She also liked to go on a shopping spree. She made her own cabbage rolls and perogies that were the best.
Mom will be sadly missed and remembered always in our hearts. No one could ask for a better mom like Alice. It’s hard to say “good-bye” to someone you were so close to and loved very much. Alice is predeceased by parents John and Olga Poluyko. Cremation will take place at a later date, then she will be laid to rest in peace beside her mom. A private service will take place on her birthday, August 17.
