Alger Boucher
Peacefully at home on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 88, surrounded by family. Son of the late Andre Boucher and the late Laura Duhaime. Beloved husband of 69 years to Lorraine Boucher (nee Proctor). Dear father to Ron (Lorene) of Thunder Bay, Jerome “Jed” (Angel) of Nova Scotia and Sheri (George Commission) of Espanola. Cherished Grandpa/Popa to Noel (Tammy), Lisa (Art Klimkowski), Amber (Lee-Ann Mirka), Krista (Steve Robinson) Jeremy (Chantee) and Jessica (Bill Graham). Fondly remembered by his great-granchildren: Owen, Owen, Hannah, Toby, Ava, Ryan, Ben, Silas, Aurora, Maren and Elora, as well as his siblings: Bobby of Espanola and Lillian (Ron Stephenson) of Gravenhurst. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Michele Kauferstein-Boucher and siblings, Jeannette (late Darrel Ulch) and Joseph. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St-George’s Anglican Church, followed by a celebration of life at the Elks Hall. The family would like to thank the Northeast Cancer Centre, the Espanola Palliative Care Team and Dr. Thangaroopan. Special thanks to Erin and Jenn, who were amazing. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation (ncfsudbury.com/donation-form/make-a-one-time-donation/ )would be greatly appreciated.
