SIMKINS, Aley Rosetta
Aley died peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Predeceased in 2016 by her loving husband of 70 years Stan Simkins. Dear mother of Cathy Burridge (late Fred), Norman Simkins (Linda), Janice Simkins (Brian Wood) and Carolyn Simkins (John Raine). Loving grandmother of Tina (Mark), Shari, Lisa (Todd), Adam (Rebecca), Jacob, Michalic (Bryce), Jed (Angela), Sarah (Kevin) and great-grandmother to Gus, Lucas, Owen, Logan, Oliver, Brett, Blaire and Holden. Fondly remembered by her sister Norma (late Harold) and numerous friends and family, including her spiritual family at Trinity United Church in Elginburg. Aley is predeceased by her parents, Norman and Meda Eastman (nee Aylesworth) and sister Marion.
Family and friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 am, with Reverend Stephen Ambury officiating. Following the interment at Cataraqui Cemetery, all are welcome to a reception and light refreshments at the United Church Hall in Elginburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Trinity United Church or Partners in Mission Food Bank in Mrs. Simkins’ memory.
