With deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of my dear mom, Aleksandra Gaynor, peacefully on July 7th, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Laurence Gaynor (May 31, 2011). Loving mother of Michael (Loretta), of Kemptville, ON, and adored Babcia of Kieran, Erin, Maria, and Jenna. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The kindest most giving soul whose family and grandchildren meant everything to her. Aleksandra’s life was an incredible journey, surviving deportation to Siberia from Poland, and life with her parents and 5 sisters as a refugee in the Middle East and Argentina, before settling in Ottawa as a young adult. She was fluent in 4 languages and had two careers while raising her family. She loved helping people and always had a smile for everyone. Friends may pay their respects at St Martin de Porres Church, 3891 Old Richmond Road, Nepean on Thursday, July 28, 2022. from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In memorium donations to the St. Hyacinth Polish Church Mission Fund would be appreciated.
