Alan Phillipson
May 3rd, 1942 – November 28th, 2022
After courageously battling cancer for the past year and prior to that, suffering a heart attack that resulting in two stents, my Father, Alan Phillipson sadly passed away Monday morning, November 28th in his home with my Mom at his side.
Alan was stubborn but sensible in all actions he made. Weighing all the information presented to him, he would always make a confident, calculated and true decision based on this. When told to “give up” (in his mind) and accept palliative care and stop treatments, he refused. He was headstrong, sometimes grumpy (things we share) but also incredibly loyal and devote to his family and grandchildren.
Alan leaves behind his beloved Wife Catharine, his son Clark (Kristen) and his rambunctious Grandchildren Gabriella and Elias who will miss their ‘Papa’ deeply.
Alan was a soft-spoken man who would rarely break from that, those his dry-wit and quirky sense of humour did make an appearance often. He passionately had a thirst for knowledge, a constant student even well into retirement-age and continuing on into his final years.
