Obituary
Al was predeceased by his father and mother, Dave and Jean Grieve; his wife Doreen Grieve; granddaughter Amanda Van Damme; brother James Grieve; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Al is survived by his daughter Debra (Randy) Van Damme and family, Cody and Austin; his son Brian (Nancy) Grieve and family: Renee (Mike) Clermont and family [Matthew, Brenden], Regan (Carrie) Lang and family [Hanna, Ashley], Mike (Susanne) Lang and family [Madalyn, Rylan, Kimberly]; Devon (Rachelle) Grieve and family[Londyn, Hunter], son Tim Grieve and his daughter [Tia]; brother Tom (Karen) Grieve; sister Shirley Lueck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David went to school in Lethbridge, AB, following that he attended Olds College of Agriculture. He moved to Fillmore with his Dad and Mom and started farming with his brother Teg “Tom” and his parents.
Al was very much into horses, raising and breaking them. He was also a partner of Tegal Stock Farms, Polled Hereford, and a member of the Fillmore Legion. He was also a very avid curler, ball player, hockey player and played golf.
On August 9, 1956, Al married Doreen Dodd and continued to farm with his son Brian until he went to reside at the Fillmore Health Centre.
A Graveside Memorial Service for Al will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, SK with Sharon Elliott officiating.
