Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Yula Jean Cobler, who passed away at the age of 94, on February 17, 2022.
Born on the Allan family farm near Neville, Saskatchewan, she was the youngest of two daughters, born to John and Mary Allan. After graduation from Normal school, she became a teacher. She taught in one-room schoolhouses for 6 years throughout southern Saskatchewan. Here she met her future husband, Wayne.
During their marriage, she had seven children. They farmed near Success, Saskatchewan and in 1970 they moved to Peachland, B.C. where they owned and managed the Peachland General Store.
Upon retirement, Mom enjoyed painting, ceramics, gardening, cards, and games.
Yula was predeceased by her husband, Wayne, and infant son, Bruce. She is lovingly remembered by her six remaining children, Ron Cobler, Velma Dirks, Barry Cobler (Elaine), Karen Vosper (Dale), Lorna Green, Lois Gaudreau (Mark), 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Interment is in the Peachland Cemetery, next to her loving husband.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers that helped look after Mom in the last few years.
