Eleanor Grant Gallant 1931 2022

Obituary of Eleanor Grant Gallant
It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Eleanor Gallant, at Northwood Care, on January 27, 2022. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Robert and Matilda Doubleday.
Eleanor was a voracious reader and was especially fond of the biography genre. Although an unlucky bingo player, she enjoyed it nonetheless and always had her dabber at the ready. Her grandchildren gave her great joy and she was the master of hide and seek. Her short career in the Air Force took her across Canada and always had fond memories of friends made.
Surviving are her son David (his spouse Beverly), her grandchildren Christopher and Stephanie and their mother Amanda, her brothers Clarence and Carl and, her sisters Geraldine, Carol and Lorraine.
Predeceased by her son Ronald; brother Clifford; sisters Jean, Doris, Margaret, Eileen and Elizabeth.
As per her wishes, she has been cremated and a graveside service will be held in the spring at St James Anglican Church, Herring Cove, Nova Scotia, where she will be laid to rest with her predeceased brothers and sisters.
Donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to St James Anglican Church.
