Jean-Bernard Poirier, 76, of Grande-Digue, passed away on Monday, December 26th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Alphonse and the late Lorette (Léger) Poirier.
Prior to retirement, M. Poirier worked as a banker with Scotiabank. He was very involved in his community, having volunteer at many events in Grande-Digue, he also enjoyed sports, a special mentioned to all his curling club friends.
He is survived by his wife, Cécile (LeBlanc) Poirier; his daughter, Julie-Anne Poirier (Jason Lafleur) of St-Lazare, QC; his sons: Réjean (Clotilde) of Australia and Marc-André (Nathalie) of Ancaster, ON; his grandchildren: Gabriel, Rémi, Mackenzie, Brady and Sophie; his sister, Lucille Thibault (Gilles) of Grande-Digue; his brother-in-law, Alonzo Dupuis of Shippagan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline.
Respecting his wishes, no visitation will be held and a funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date.
In Jean-Bernard’s memory, a donation can be made to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
