Haute Aboujagane, NB- Gilles Joseph Raymond Leger, 79, of Haute Aboujagane NB, passed away peacefully at the Georges Dumont Hospital on November 13, 2022.
Gilles was born in Bourgeois Mills, to Vital and Irene Leger. He grew up with a love for his family’s farm. This sparked his own passion to have his own farm with his loving wife Rita. Gilles was an entrepreneur at heart- running his small farm and his distribution business of dairy products for over 30 years. Later in life, Gilles picked up the hobby of wood working and created many carvings that will be forever treasured.
Gilles was predeceased by his parents, his wife Rita and Daughter Murielle.
Gilles will be missed by his children Eugène Léger of Cap-Pelé, Armand Léger of Moncton, Noëlla Cormier (Victor) of Cap-Pelé and Guillaume Léger (Nicole) of Haute- Aboujagane; his siblings Ubald Léger (Betty), Clarice Léger (Albertina), Jean Léger (Diane), Oscar Léger (Rosaline), Mary Melanson (Gerry Leger), Andrea Chavarie (Edourd), and Annette Cormier (Ulysse); his grandchildren, Kevin, Patrice, Liette, Mélany, Sophie, Joëlle, Makayla and Cassidy; and his great grandchildren, Kacey, Charlie and Kelsey.
A private funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Home in Shediac Bridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Albert House in Moncton New Brunswick.
