Walter John Mercer died peacefully at his home in Wyoming on Friday, November 5, 2022, in his 83rd year. John Mercer was formerly of Wallaceburg and Burlington. He was the husband of the late Muriel (2017). He was the father of son Rick and his wife Connie of Wyoming and the late Robin. He was grandfather of Chad, Ryan, Stacie Lee, Tyler, and Brady and nine great grandchildren. John was the brother of Bruce, Sharon, Janice and the late Larry. John worked for many years with Canada Post starting as a letter carrier in Burlington before moving to Wallaceburg as postmaster.
Cremation has taken place. As expression sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
