Jennie married Ron Hnydyk in 1960. They lived and worked in Vegreville their entire lives. They had 2 children, Michelle (Mike) Koebernick of Drayton Valley and Bev (Leonard) Chomlak of St. Paul. Jennie’s pride and joy were her two granddaughters, Jenna Marie & Julie Ann Chomlak. Jennie always said they took after their Grandpa (Ron) when it came to humour and laughter.
After retirement, Jennie kept herself busy with volunteering (Christmas Bureau, U.C.W.L. & Hospital Auxiliary). Ron & Jennie had a love of travel, and they travelled all over the world, including Europe, Ukraine, Poland, South America, Africa, Northwest Territories & Singapore. Jennie’s most favourite things to do were puzzle books, shopping, bingo and a wide variety of crafts.
