Evelyn Louise (Martens) Bodell, age 74 passed away on December 18, 2021 at Edmonton, Alberta.
Evelyn entered the world pre-maturely on January 29 1946 in a small remote log cabin near the village of Hythe northwest of Grande Prairie in the Peace River area of northern Alberta. She was the second of three daughters and four sons of the family of seven children raised by Elizabeth and Edward Martens.
She married Kenneth Andrew Bodell at Beaverlodge, AB on October 3, 1970 (51 years) In retirement they resided on an acreage near Josephburg, Alberta.
Evelyn is survived by spouse, Ken; son, Jeremy, his wife, Kerry; grandson Jeffery; granddaughter Claire; sister Elizabeth Reid; brothers James, Lyle, and Edward.
She is predeceased by her twin sister, Edith, at birth; father, Edward 2002; mother, Elizabeth 2005; an older sister, Esther Regehr 2012; and a brother, Ernest 2015.
Evelyn was a member of Strathearn United Church and Strathearn United Church Women, Edmonton, Alberta. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and knitting toques for charity as a member of sewing and quilting groups at Josephburg, Fort Saskatchewan, and Towerpoint RV Park in Mesa, Arizona.
Services: An invitational family service will be held at a later date.
