Reta’s Obituary
CALLIOU, Reta Mary – age 82, Seaforth, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Meadows Home for Special Care. Born December 18, 1993 in London, Ontario she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Hazel (Mifflin) Lucas. Reta grew up in Champion, Alberta. She worked many jobs throughout her life, she was a cook and she waitressed. Reta was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, in her own way. In her younger years she enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, horse back riding and camping. She also enjoyed driving, making preserves, sewing and quilting. She was a very independent person, who may have been described as a little suborn at times. Reta is survived by her daughters Theresa, Geraldine “Gerri” Wendy, Candius and Cristine. Siblings Ken Lucas, Dolores McGowan, Zelda Stensrud, Pat “John” Lucas; grandchildren David, Robin, Nick, Charmaine, Jeremy, Mathew, Jennifer, BJ, Cory, Cody, Jessica, Janes, Bambi, John, Elisabeth, Sherri and Michelle. As well as several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Aside from her parents Reta is predeceased by her son Joshua in infancy and siblings Jerry Lucas, Donald Lucas, Alice Cahoon and Dorthy Polsfot and grandson Jeffery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Donations in memory of Reta may be made to the Meadows Home for Special Care.
