Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Granter announce her passing at her residence on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
She is predeceased by her parents Mark & Elva Small and daughter Susette Granter Farrell.
Left with fond and loving memories are her husband of 58 years, Henry Thomas Granter, daughter Kelly Granter Rumbolt, grandchildren Nicholas & Alexandra Rumbolt, sisters Judy (Dudley) Wheeler, Jeanette (Dawson) Stuckless, former sons-in-law Thomas Farrell and Tony Rumbolt as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Betty was born and raised in Moreton’s Hr., NL, lived in Lewisporte for many years and returned to Moreton’s Hr. to rejuvenate her family home. It is there that she took her last breath as she would have wanted. Betty was loving, giving, generous and warm. She was fun-loving and funny in equal measure with a dose of persnicketyness thrown in! She adored her children and grandchildren and did her best to ensure their happiness.
Betty, Mom/Nan, rest in peace, and we trust that you are reunited with Susette in some way, shape or form.
Resting at the United Church, Moreton’s Hr., NL with public visitation will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Forever loved.
