Obituary of Harold James Entwisle
With deep regret, we announce the passing of Harold (Jim) James Entwisle.
January 6, 1960 – July 18, 2022
Jim was happiest on a lake with coffee in his favourite travel mug, a fishing rod in his hand, and his dogs by his side. For most of his working life, Jim was an operator at the Cominco concentrator, where was part of the mine rescue competition team. He was a member of the Kimberley Community Band, playing the trombone, from its inception until his health issues dictated that he step away. His sense of humour brought smiles to everyone’s faces and he kept positive through his many health challenges. He was an avid cook and baker, enjoying sharing the results with others. Jim was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and will be deeply missed.
Jim is survived by his common law wife of 22 years, Stacey Shoemaker, his beloved dogs Gilligan and Parker, siblings Thelma Davits, Connie Freestone, Donna (Ralph) McKay, Cathy Priller, and Fred (Jenn) Entwisle, In-laws Brian and Kersti Shoemaker, Shauna (Dave) Grypiuk, Sharla (Kenton) Brennan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Marg and Chick Entwisle, brother Daniel (Dan) Entwisle, brothers-in-law Robert Davits, Robert (Bob) McKay, Joey Priller, and Lloyd Freestone, and dogs, Benson, Tia, and Max.
A private gathering will take place at a later date.
