Obituary
Rita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who lived a long and full life. It is with great sadness that we announce her sudden death. Rita was predeceased by her husband Basil and is survived by her daughter Laura (Jim), sister Marie (Paul) and numerous nieces and nephews. Siblings Jack, Frank, Melville, (Msgr.) Vincent, Alma and Bernadette also predeceased her. A special thank you to all the staff at her Residence and to her nurses and doctors for their compassionate care. May we continue to treasure the wonderful gifts of her life and memory as we go forward with our own. Due to COVID-19, there will be a private visitation and Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Funeral Home for family and Rita’s close friends. In lieu of floral tributes, donations to SickKids Foundation or another Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
