Jordan Edward James Windego Thursday July 7th 2022

It is with great sadness the family of May-za-way-bee-tung or Jordan Edward James Windego (AKA Jordz), Bizhew clan, announce that he started his journey into the spirit world July 7, 2022. Jordan was born January 17, 1995 to Lynn Windego and Lance Bergman. He grew up in Sioux Lookout, ON. He was predeceased by his great grandparents, James Windigo Sr, Nina Windigo (Councillor), and Eric and Pearl Bergman. He was also predeceased by his great aunties Charlene Windigo, Cecile Bannatyne, and Sharon George; aunty DeeDee Bergman; cousins Clayton (Beef) Windigo Jr., Nolan Windigo, and Charles (Chuck) Windego Jr. He is survived by parents Lynn Windego and Travis Wabange and Lance and Allison Bergman; grandparents Beatrice Angeconeb, and Edward and Agnes Bergman; siblings Blake Windego, William Stanley, Emery Wabange, and Shundel, DaNell and Uriah Bergman; and uncle Jeremiah Windego (cousin Drew Windego), uncle Jade Windego (cousins Mariah, Darian, Jade Jr., Camryn and Taytum Windego), uncle Peter Windego and auntie Amanda Bergman (cousins Tristan and Haily Bouchard) as well as, numerous great aunties, great uncles, cousins and friends. Jordan always held a special place in his heart for his auntie Karla Stanley (Roger) and auntie Sadie Windego. He will be forever missed by his daughter Varissa Windego who he adored and shared a passion of music with. Jordan was soft spoken and charismatic. He did not let just anyone in, but if you were lucky, you knew and got to see the best side of him. Jordan loved to play music and was a gifted self-taught guitar player. He was athletic and grew up playing hockey, gaming with his buddies and hanging out with his brother Blake. Jordan and Blake loved seeing the newest movies together. They would laugh at punch lines, and later say the quotes or familiar lines, no matter how random the timing was. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, weightlifting and climbing. He loved to joke and play off movie references and had the best laugh that could make anyone smile. He was the strong silent type. He was a protector who was caring, compassionate and understanding. His agility was unmatched. When he was young, on a walk home from the beach, we saw a partridge on the road. He asked, “Do you think I can get it?”. He picked up a rock and sure enough he hit it. Then, he cleaned it right there and brought it home to eat. He loved dogs and animals and had a connection to nature that few understand. He was very gifted in so many ways. Many things came easy to him. Give him one day with anything and he was great at it by the day’s end. Anyone and everyone could see how talented he was, but he was so much more than just talent. He will be missed by many.
