Obituary of Leslie Leo Clarke
It is with great sadness that the family of Leo Leslie Clarke announce his peaceful passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on July 4, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was 89 years of age.
Leslie was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Leslie loved his Lord and surendered his life to Jesus on October 26, 1963. He testified of many personal experiences with his Lord that helped sustain him through the many storms of life. In his christian journey, Leslie served the Lord in his local church as a sunday school teacher, board member and was a great help in playing his piano accordion in the services.
Leslie was a very hard worker, fisherman, traper, sealing, moose hunting and carpentry in order to provide for his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, William and Amy Clarke; son, Leo Clarke; brothers, Malcolm and Harrison; sisters, Madge Edison, Joan Randell and Vivian Parsons; brother-in-law, Hiliary Parsons; sisters-in-law, Alfreda Clarke and Madelene Budgell. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bridget of 64 years; four children, Larry Clarke, Betty (Alvin) Budgell, Madonna (Morris) Fudge, and Winston ( Cisley) Clarke. He also leaves seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Olgo (Claude) Noseworthy and Zadia Clarke; brother-in-law, Edward Randell; sister-in-law, Edna Clarke; special niece, Della Dwyer; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a large thank you to the staff of 3B, 2D and the Carmelite House for their care over the past three years.
