Nellie, who celebrated her 98th birthday on April 21, 2022, peacefully passed away in Invermere, BC on May 9th, 2022.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jim, in 1999. Nellie is survived by her three children, Jim Hrdlicka (Rhonda), Valorie MacLeod (John) and Arlene Bignell (Gord). She was so proud of her 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Nellie made a positive difference in this world. Besides being an active and fun-loving woman, she took action to make this world a better place. When Jim and Nellie retired to Fairmont in 1983, she helped get the first BC Senior Games organized and then participated in these games for many years. She also volunteered in many other capacities over her lifetime.
The family would like to give our sincere thanks for the compassion and care shown by Dr. Bruce Johnson and the many health care workers who helped Nellie.
