DALGLEISH, THOMAS “Tom” RAE
‘Tom’s Air-Cooled Engines’
With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Tom Dalgleish at his home in Vernon, Ontario, on Monday January 3, 2022. A native son of Vernon. Loving husband of Valerie (McAdam). Cherished father of Cali (Tom Hilliard). Proud grandfather of Tommi and Joseph (Joey), Dear brother of Bryan (Judy) and Lynda (Danny Getz). Son of the late Margaret and Stuart. Tom was well known and loved in his community during his 44 years in business. He had a great love of the outdoors, was an avid and successful gardener, loved snowmobiling and “the shack”, his pond and the ducks and geese. If he was not tinkering with machinery in his workshop then he would be found sitting at his kitchen table, watching the birds outside the window and enjoying a cold one or two. He was always happy to “educate” you… “you are so far behind you think you’re first”… “if you woke up a little earlier and worked an hour later…” If you’d hang around with me you’d be a little bit smarter.” Tom was always true to himself, he was a loyal and generous friend but he never did anything that he didn’t want to do. Tom was a force to be reckoned with and he leaves behind a hole in the hearts of so many, including his faithful sidekick Indy. There will be a gathering for his friends and family in the late spring/early summer to celebrate his incredible life. Donations made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at www.daleyffh.ca
