Obituary of Eleanor Bernice Reading
READING: Eleanor Bernice
Passed away at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry on Saturday April 16, 2022. Eleanor Reading of Pickering, formerly of Norwood in her 84th year. Eleanor enjoyed an over 30-year career with the Royal Bank in Norwood. She was a life member of the Norwood I.O.D.E. and an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Norwood. She will be remembered as a dedicated community member who volunteered for many organizations and contributed to the well-being of her community. She is the loving wife of the late James Reading (d. 2001). Missed by her special friend Tom Forsythe of Pickering. Eleanor is the loving mother of the late Kenneth Reading (Heather) of Havelock and Carol Tuck (Bruce) of Fowlers Corners. Dear grama of Ted Reading (Angelica), Emily Cunningham, Amy Kontarakis and great grama of Hayden and Gavin Reading, James and Jesse Olguin and Sydney and Aurora Cunningham. Also sadly missed by her sister and dear friend Anne Carlow of Norwood and she was the treasured aunt and great aunt to many. Predeceased by her sister Elaine McCulloch (Bob) and brother-in-law Sandy Carlow. A private family interment will be held at Asphodel-Norwood Cemetery at a later date.
