ZANTINGH, Zwaantje “Zwaan” –
Entered into rest at the Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the age of 87. Zwaan Zantingh of Picton was the daughter of the late Hendrik & Grietje Klok (nee Knegt) and wife of the late Hendrik. She was the loving mother of Ed (Linda) of Picton, Deborah Stenvers (Herman) of Cherry Valley, mother in law of Fern Gray of Picton and Brenda Zantingh of Milford. Predeceased by her sons Jan and Hendrik Jr. Zwaan was the cherished grandmother of Sarah, Jeremy, Steven (Heather), Jason (Roberta), Michael, David (Cathy), Allan (Patricia), and step grandmother of Randy and Jolene, and great grandmother of Emma, Keegan, Michaela, Shannon, Bradley, Samantha, Joey and Hannah, and step great grandmother of Kayla, Lilly and Braden. She is survived by her brother Hank Klok (Dineke) of Holland, and her sister in law Ali Zantingh, also of Holland. Predeceased by her sisters. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Zantingh is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450) for visitation on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 1 pm until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 pm with Reverend Kevin Stenhouse officiating. Interment Cherry Valley Cemetery. Social distancing observed and masks required.
