RED CROW, Zandis Ryan – February 18, 1996 – February 25, 2021 It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our Beloved Zandis Red Crow at the age of 25. Zandis was born in Calgary, Alberta and resided on the Siksika Nation. He cherished and enjoyed time with his special nieces and nephews. They brought him so much joy! Zandis touched many lives and will be fondly remembered for his warm smile, humour, humbleness, kindness and gentle nature. Zandis is survived by his Mother Janice Spotted Eagle (Blair), his Father Daniel Red Crow, Siblings: Jack, Solomon, Jocelyn, Jessica, Danelle, Natasha, Ben, Jason, Nathan, Ashley, Stewart, Grandmothers: June Spotted Eagle, Jessie Buller, Aunties: Cherie, Glenda (Jeanette), Tracey, Bonnie, Kanakii, Mona (Paul), Crissy, Jennifer, Tracey, Laura, Uncles: Warren, Daniel, Wesley (Regina), Eldon (Yung Wah), Special cousins: Ty, Roxanna, Raven, Kaitlyn, Warren Jr., Jeremiah, Blossom and Beloved Girlfriend Brenna Rayne. Zandis leaves behind his family and relatives: Many Fires, Little Chiefs, Bear Hats, Breakers, Water Chiefs, Wolf Legs, Smiths, Bear Chiefs, Crowfoots, Black Waters, Riders, McHughs, Big Snakes, Winnipegs and Mayfields. Zandis was predeceased by his Paternal Grandfather Cecil Many Fires and Paternal Grandfather Willie Red Crow, Maternal Great Grandparents Jack and Maggie Spotted Eagle, Paternal Great Grandparents Steve and Mary Ann Many Fires. The family apologizes for anyone missed. Zandis enjoyed his music and special time with his girlfriend Rayne, his family and friends. He was raised by his mother, grandmother June, special aunties Bonnie and Cherie who all loved him dearly. He was near completing High School and had a goal of graduating with his diploma. He completed the Roofing Program certificate in 2012 with the Siksika Employment and Training. Zandis will be lovingly remembered by his family, relatives and many friends. The family is grateful for the support and kind words of encouragement received for Zandis. Wake Services at June Spotted Eagle’s residence Map 1 House 25 on March 4, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John Divine Anglican Church on March 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Extended family are welcome to attend service outside of the church due to COVID 19 restrictions. Gravesite Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery, Siksika Nation. The Reverend Larry Water Chief officiating.
