Yvon William Guay of Blenheim passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Friday November 5, 2021 at the age of 73 years. Born in Quebec, Yvon made his way to Toronto at a young age where he became a part of the Toronto Police Force. Together, he and his wife Sally (Warren) raised two children Tammy Guay and Jim Guay. They were blessed with five grandchildren Brooke, Cody, Summer, Shawna and Anthony as well as two great-grandchildren Christopher and Elane. He was the brother-in-law of Tom (Judy) Warren and the late Jerry Warren (survived by Audrey).
Yvon and Sally eventually moved back to Sally’s home town of Erieau, renewing old friendships. Yvon took a job at Rockwell in Tilbury and bought a hobby farm outside Blenheim where he enjoyed farming, gardening and selling produce. He will be remembered as a man of sheer determination when he envisioned what could someday become reality as well had a man who had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. It was his wish that his family will remember him privately.
