Black; W.J. Howard
Peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in his 93rd year. Howard Black, beloved husband of the late Edythe (nee Hawke). Loving father of Dianne (Garry) Sheppard, Suzanne (Tom) Kennett and Michael (Bernadette) Black. Loved grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Howard is survived by his brother Winston (Dave) Penley of Orillia. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Eva Black and siblings Edna, Ralph, Fred, Pearl, Andy, Earl & Clarence. He will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews and their families. We would especially thank the doctors , nurses and staff at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and Trillium Manor who gave him such excellent, compassionate and understanding care during these past few months. We felt he was in good hands which gave the family peace of mind. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia with interment at St. Andrew’s – St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia.
