It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winnifred Isabella Saunders, at James Paton Memorial Hospital on September 3, 2021. Winnie served her church well through the UCW. Her main concern was volunteering for the Red Cross in her earlier years as well as helping out at the North Shore School and later years at the High School.
Winnie was predeceased by her loving husband Calvin, her Parents, Five Sisters, Two Brothers, Mother and Father in Law, Two Sister in Laws, Two Brother in Laws and Son in Law Stu Taylor.
Leaving to mourn with great sadness her Son Bill (Charlotte), Daughters Gladys (Jim) Jones, Doreen (Rex) Eveleigh, Betty (Fred), Pauline (Gilbert) Tulk and Daphne (Jim) Leonard, Brother in Law Max Saunders, Twelve Grandchildren, Eighteen Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren as well as a large circle of Nieces, Nephews and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be by invitation only, due to Covid restrictions.
Resting at Oram’s Funeral Home with Visitation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, September 4th, 2021.
Funeral service will be held at Faith United Church, Glovertown on Sunday, September 5th at 1:00pm.
Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her memory to the United Church.
