The family of the Late Bill Schneider sadly announces his passing on May 23, 2021. He went silently and pain free with Sandra, Shelley and Sonia to help him slip into his next journey. (Comedian I am sure)
Bill was born October 18, 1944, to Louis and Alice Schneider. He grew up in Fruitvale and spent time in California as a young boy. He was an avid outdoorsman his entire life. Countless hours were spent in the woods with John on the quads. He loved to get his firewood in for the winter and quite often you would drive by in the summer and the wood stove would be burning. He loved to take Sunday drives around the area and see what he could find.
Bill worked for BA Black Top in Cranbrook and fording coal in his early years before coming to Trail to work at Moynes Motors (where some really good pranks were played, and memories made) He then went on to work for his brother Frank at Alpine Auto until he sold the business. His last working years were spent at Lordco, and he finished his working career at Napa in Castlegar.
He played countless pranks and millions of silent or not so silent farts on his co-workers and friends. He would then just walk away with a big old grin.
Bill is predeceased by his father Louis, mother Alice, sister Elaine, brother Frank, sister-in-law Dot, and his son and best friend John. They are now in heaven touring the mountains together and watching over us all.
He lived his life to the fullest and always had funny comment for everyone he encountered.
In his last years he fought with diabetes, kidney and heart failure. He never ever complained he just fought on like a warrior.
He leaves behind his loving wife Sandra, Shelley, Hunter, Kim, Karl, grandchildren Tyson and Krystl, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy & Don, Sonia & Rob, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as the countless friends he made over the years,
By Bill’s request there will be no service and he will be buried with his parents on his birthday on October 18, 2021 in the Fruitvale cemetery. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
