William John (Johnny)’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late William John (Johnny) Tapp announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Sunday, October 17th, 2021 at the age of 60 years. Born in Corner Brook, NL, Johnny was the son of the late Ernest and Lillian Tapp (nee Short). He was also predeceased by his sister; Mary Tapp, father-in-law; Isaac Patey, and brother-in-law; Dennis Turpin.
Johnny leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving partner; Alice Patey, son; Jonathan (Lindsey) Patey, daughter; Jennifer (Leonard) Patey, grandchildren; Riley, Jack, Carley, and Nixon. Johnny also leaves behind his brothers; Llewellyn (Mary) Tapp, Jim (Debbie) Tapp, Dave (Yvonne) Tapp, sisters; Lorraine Turpin, Helen Tapp, Margie Lambert.
Johnny will forever remain in the hearts of his mother-in-law; Nora Patey, brothers-in-law; Mike Patey, Ray (Bonnie) Patey, sisters-in-law; Loriann (Grant) Rodgers, Margaret Patey, and Janice (Jeff) Lomond.
Johnny loved spending time with his son Jonathan, daughter Jennifer and his grandchildren whom he adored. He loved his family and being around around his friends. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
In keeping with Johnny’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. A celebration of Johnny’s life and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johnny’s memory can be made to the family.
