HANDLEY, William Douglas “Bill”
Suddenly entered into rest at his home on Friday, June 4, 2021, Bill Handley of East Lake died at the age of 66.
He was the son of the late Earl & Jean Handley (nee McFaul) and was the beloved husband for 40 years to Martha (nee Slaven). Bill was the loving father of Corey (Nicole) of Amaranthe and step-father of Pat Mahoney (Christine) of Kirkland Lake. He was the dearest grandfather of Billy, Alex and Sophie. Bill is survived by his siblings Linda Storms (Lorne) of Picton, Suzanne Denard of Picton, Shirley LaLonde (late Lyle) of Deseronto, Jim (Barb) of Picton, Nancy Wadforth (Terry) of Picton, and Joan Handley of Picton. He was predeceased by his brother Bobby. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings-in-law Mike Slaven (Joanne) of Edmonton, Flo Slaven (John) of Wellington, Jane Slaven of Picton and Chris Slaven (Debbie) of Mississauga. Uncle Bill will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and the Walker Gang.
Mr. Handley is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
