Obituary of William A. Friesen
On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the age of 95, William A. Friesen of Winnipeg went to be with his Lord and Savior to his eternal home.
We are truly grateful for him and the memories that will forever be in his families hearts as we say farewell to our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He has been a great provider for his family for many decades. His love and generosity are unmatched including less fortunate people around the globe from Matheson Island, the British Honduras and Africa.
Prior to facing severe dementia, it was a pleasure to see him enjoy 20 years of travelling to Paraguay, Africa, motorcycling to as far away as Alaska, skiing, playing slow pitch with the Flashbacks and fishing with his Grandkids.
During the last days of his life, he was surrounded by family who meant the world to him. We celebrate with him as he has gone to his heavenly home free of all pain & sorrow.
William was predeceased by his amazing wife Annie and daughter Bud and will be dearly missed by his family.
Thanks be to the Tuxedo Villa Staff who have given great care to Mom, Annie and Dad, Bill for the last two years.
A private Celebration of Life service for William Friesen will commence on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
A private family burial will take place at the Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach, following the service.
