Will, Ethel Grace
August 1, 1921 ~ November 2, 2021
Ethel lived 100 years upon God’s earth and died on November 2, 2021. Ethel Grace McLaughlin was born at home on the Second Line of Moore to John and Pearl McLaughlin on August 1, 1921. A devoted daughter, she truly honoured her parents in word and deed. Ethel was a loving sister to Jack, Lorraine and Charles. Dearly loved by her husband Roy E Will, together they savoured the good gifts of life for 55 years. Ethel’s journals tell of their rural life on the Sixth Line of Moore. Ethel was proud to be a farmer. After 8 decades of farm life, Ethel learned to appreciate apartment life at Queen Victoria Place in Petrolia. In 2015 she reluctantly moved down the road to Meadowview Villa where caring staff on the third floor caught glimpses of the beautiful lady who was hidden in the disguise of dementia. Ethel was a dedicated mum, loved by Bob, Connie and Don. Ethel was a loving and beloved grandma to Jeremy, Michelle, Elizabeth, David, Jessica, Danny and Yettie, and was delighted to be a GG. Her favourite son-in-law, Wayne, loved her too. Aunt Ethel was dear to many nieces and nephews. Ethel has finished her fight with dementia. Those of us who can still remember are blessed to now keep the precious memories of this much loved lady.
