Obituary of Wendell Pye
Wendell Pye, 1951 – 1921 was born in the Himalayan Mountains of India, to Phyllis and Arthur Pye. He developed a love of nature and keen sense of adventure from his years spent on the plains of Bihar with his parents and at Woodstock School in the mountains of Mussoorie, India. On returning to Canada, he lived in Fonthill, attended Niagara Christian College in Fort Erie, and went later to Messiah College in Pennsylvania. He lived in the U.S.A as well as British Columbia and Ontario. Along the way he made many friends from around the world, many who are now sharing stories of how he made a difference in their lives. Wendell passed away peacefully in Port Colborne. Wendell will be missed by Amie Pye (daughter) Elwood and Margaret Pye, Brian and Laurie Pye, Elaine and Ron Lewis, and his nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents Arthur Pye and Phyllis (Sherk) Pye. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

  1. Rest in Peace Wendell. It won’t be the same without You. You lived a great life for a simple Corn Farmer from Wainfleet. I hope one day to see you at that Big chilli pepper in the sky. Godspeed. You will be missed.
