Benussi Parlier, Wanda
Passed away in hospital on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Survived by her loving and devoted daughter Jennifer Chiara Parlier. Predeceased by parents Carlo and Ludmilla Benussi, and by her brother George Benussi. She’ll be sadly missed by her best friend Estelle Cashen. Wanda was a retired teacher and spent most of her 28-year career at Darcy McGee High School in Hull. She was also an Italian translator/interpreter including for former Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Wanda was a very active volunteer in the Italian Community, as a host, anchor and interviewer for Tele-30 and serving on the board of Italian Week.
Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean (between Bayshore & Baseline) on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 1 – 2 pm followed by a service in the chapel at 2 pm. Due to COVID restrictions, registration to attend is required by visiting www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com or by calling 613-722-6559. Entombment to take place at Capital Memorial Gardens.
