With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Esther Susanne Wakerell, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at LHSC – Victoria Hospital, London, in her 88th year. Esther was born on May 12, 1934 in Maidstone, Ontario to Adam and Esther Kirschner and was the oldest of 13 children. Loving mother to Susan Fitzsimons (Dan), Patty Bolschetschenko (Mike), Debbie Grant, Cindy Neron (Rob), and Cathy Altomonte (Tony). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Justin Fitzsimons, Stacey Fitzsimons, Jeremy Whiteman, Jessica Bolschetschenko, Gregory Bolschetschenko, Jonathon Grant, Matthew Grant, Robert Neron, Annastascia Neron, Brittany Hearn (Greg), Brandon Altomonte (Carly), Michael Altomonte; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Anjalynah, Adia, Sophie, Wesley, Abigail, Isla, Luciano, Avianna and Nathan. She will be missed by her siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins and her New Hope Community Church Family. A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. A special thank you to the many doctors and staff who cared for our mother while she was in Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Esther are asked to please consider the Palliative Care Program at LHSC – Victoria Hospital.
