W. Bruce Botham
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce on October 3, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at 77 years of age. Loving husband and best friend of Naomi with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Cherished and devoted father of Bruce (Lyn), Brad (Linda), Lucinda (Glenn) and Lesley (David). Much loved and adored Grandpa of Tabitha, Jessica, Steven, Sam, Candace, Chelsea and Dylan. Great Grandpa of 14 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Audrey, Robert, late Nancy, Mary, late Pearl and Barb. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bruce was the Fire Chief with the Pelee Island Fire Department for 25 years and retired from the Pelee Island Co-Op after many years of dedicated service. For those who knew Bruce, you knew that if the garage door was open, you were welcome to come for a visit. Bruce will always be remembered for the love he had for his family. At Bruce’s request, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
