Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Vickie Goodberry at the L&A General Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She leaves behind her loving husband of 16 wonderful years, Kevin Goodberry. Daughter of Larry Vanalstine (the late Evelyn) and grand-daughter of the late Jean Vanalstine. Proud mother of Becky Wood (Darcy), Gavyn, Kaleb and Travis Goodberry. Cherished “Nana” to her grandchildren Haylee, Emma, Myla, Ethan and Onyx. Vickie will be sadly missed by her sisters Karen (David) Vanalstine, Sharon (Stephen) Thompson. Special “Aunt” of Cody (Jess), Megan, Chad, Wyatt (Bailee). Her memories will always be treasured by her great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and many friends.
Vickie spend many years employed with the Friendly Manor Nursing Home in Deseronto where her duties and qualifications have taken her from a Health Care Aide position, now known as a PSW to the role of Life Enrichment Aide with the Activation Department, House Keeping Duties, and last but not least, Administration Assistant. She enjoyed her many years caring for the elderly and will be deeply missed by the many residents and co-workers over the years.
Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. A Celebration of Life Service for Vickie will take place at a later when the current restrictions of Covid-19 allow us to gather and celebrate her life together. My best wishes to Kevin Goodberry and his children for the loss of Vicki. I never knew her but I lost my mother on November 7, 2019. I know what the family must be going through because she was a great mother. It’s always hard when you lose a loved one. Like my mother, Vicki has a legacy that will linger on forever to be remembered by.
