Obituary of Vera Elizabeth Jehan
Jehan, Vera (Vicki) Elizabeth – November 6, 1954 – December 27, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Jehan at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the age of 67 after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer.
She will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 47 years, David Jehan, and their four children, Daniel (Erin) Jehan, Michael (Julie) Jehan, Kathryn Jehan, and Christine (Keith) Dueck, along with their seven grandchildren, Bella, Evan and Nate Jehan, and Madelyn, Aliyah, Seth and Levi Dueck.
Vicki is survived by her three siblings, Karen (Charlie) Lagos, Robin Kayser (Glen Coker), and Don (Bettina) Kayser, sister-in-law, Donna (Joe) Mogensen, and brother-in-law, Thomas McKnight, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan McKnight, on October 6, 2017.
Vicki was a light to everyone she met, and we take great comfort knowing that she is now safe in the loving arms of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She loved Him first and foremost, and boldly shared her faith with everyone she knew. Next to Jesus, her family always came first and she loved us passionately and completely. This is how we will remember her until the day we get to see her again, and this is our great hope and comfort.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Church Niagara (2360 First Street Louth, St. Catharines, ON L2R 6P7) on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00am. A time of fellowship will follow. Visitation will take place prior to the service, starting at 9:30am. All Provincial COVID Protocols will be in place including the wearing of masks at all times.
Special thanks to the Walker Family Cancer Center and New Hope Church Niagara for your incredible care and support.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Vera
