Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home, the Carleton Place Terrace. Vera is survived by her daughter Brenda (David) McNeely, son David (Wilma) Chapman; grandchildren Heather McNeely (Brian van Adel), Jeffery Chapman (Rachel); great-grandchildren Ethan and Ella van Adel; sister-in-law Patricia Crawford. Predeceased by her first husband Allen Chapman and second husband Arthur Hawkins; parents Norman and Nellie (nee Aitken) Crawford; grandson Matthew McNeely; brothers Earl and Gerald (Lila) Crawford; sisters Laura (Joseph) Mahoney and Alice (Urban) Teske. Friends may visit the family on Monday December 20th at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave. Carleton Place, from 10:00 am until time of service in the chapel at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in the spring at Dewar’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Vera to Lanark Animal Welfare Society or the Zion-Memorial United Church would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Fullerton, and the staff of Carleton Place Terrace and Bayshore Home Care for their loving care.
