Obituary of Vera B. Cashin
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, November 30, 2021, Vera B. Cashin of Harbour Grace, age 94 years.
Predeceased by husband: Harold; son: Chris; parents: Dorman and Annie Rideout; brothers: Richard (Shirley), Gordon, and Donald (Odell).
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Joanne (Pat) Merrigan, Carbonear and Jocelyn (Edward) Thomey, Edmonton, AB; four sons: Wayne (Lois), Mt. Pearl, Tony (Lilian), Calgary, AB, Terry (Janet), Edmonton, AB, and Sean (Yvonne), Hr. Grace; daughter-in-law: Tara Cashin, Hr. Grace; fifteen grandchildren: Dana (Michael), Laura (Morgan), Melissa, Stephanie (Devon), Krista (Garret), Jennifer (Lorne), Allison (Chad), Jason, Blair (Jolene), Andrea (Cam), Lindsay (Orlando), Jaclyn (Nick), Jordan, Ryan (Jessica), and Cheryl (Andrew); twenty-three great-grandchildren; one sister: Doris Rideout, Deer Lake; sister-in-law: Mabel Rideout, Ontario; dear nephew: Wayne Rideout and his wife: Madelyn; special friends: Honorah and Bill Burton; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Thank you for the compassion and kindness shown by the staff of 2 south at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear, it will not soon be forgotten. A sincere thanks as well to the staff at Luxury Estates, Carbonear. Also, to Noel’s Funeral Home for their professionalism, and to the Roman Catholic Church Bereavement Team, Harbour Grace.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harbour Grace, on Sunday, December 5 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 6 at 10:30 a.m. from Noel’s Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
Proof of Vaccination will be required to attend the visitation and the funeral service.
