Our beloved Michael Troy VandenBrink left us suddenly on December 28, 2021, at the age of 48, in Edmonton, Alberta. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, on April 8, 1973. Mike is survived by Kyla Baumgardt, his devoted partner of 17 years; Zoey and Seth Goodon and Ty and Ashley Loyie, the children of his heart; Xavier VandenBrink, his youngest son; and by his parents Mary Berube (Pierre), Henry VandenBrink (Elsa), one brother, three sisters and their families, his maternal grandmother Lenny Dubbeldam, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will take place in January 2022 with a public Celebration of Life to be held in April 2022.
