Valdor “Bud” Cote (May 25, 1936 – May 08, 2021)
Born in Drummond Parish, New Brunswick, on May 25, 1936. He passed away on May 08, 2021 at the age of 84 (almost 85). Valdor worked for many years as a Class A Mechanic and was requested from factories by name as “we want Buddy”. Valdor always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He loved watching baseball, the “Jays” and spending time with his family.
Valdor is survived by his siblings Aurore Genereux, Candide (Marie) Grand Falls NB, Rodolphe (Claudette) Grand Falls NB, Yolande (Lawrence) Crozier Hartford CN, and Philibert (Micheline) Grandby QC, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Valdor was predeceased by his parents Alma and Jean Louis Cote, brothers, Arcade, Roland, Leonel, Normand, Conrad, Rheal, sisters, Carmen and Monique, sisters-in-law, Leontine Lagace and Simone Martin and brother-in-law William Genereux.
Valdor will lovingly be remembered by his six children Guy (Donna), Mike (Annie), Yvonne, Roger, Mary Anne (Dan), and Daniel “Danny”, as well as the mother of his children Madeleine.
Grandpa “Bud” will be missed by his 13 grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Dylan, Ryan, Eric, Ashley, Jill, Holly, Alicia, Robert, Olivia, Nadine and Sara and 6 great grandchildren Camille, Ben, Andrew, Riley, Lincoln, And Eric. He loved to see the children – somehow, he always had a ten-dollar bill in his pocket to give and it brought him so much joy. He would dress up as Santa, and his “dance” moves were the greatest.
Cremation has taken place at his request with a private family service . His ashes will be buried at St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery in North Bay, ON. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the (Blue) Jays Care Foundation.
