Obituary
Tragically, while fishing on the Bay of Quinte on Saturday January 9th an accident occurred that took Tyler’s life from us in his 23rd year. Tyler Carl Ballance, loved son of Carl and Rhonda Ballance and dear brother of Lindsay (Drew) and Carson (Holly). Grandson of Harry Parks (late Joyce) and the late Basil and Frances Ballance. Nephew of Karen McNichols (Ossie), Darlene Lowry (Tom), Marilyn Parks (late Alan) and the late Dennis Ballance. Cousin of Brock McNichols (Jessie), Melissa Hodgons (Zach), Kurt Lowry and Kylee Taylor (Chris) and extended family. Tyler had an energetic and enthusiastic personality and was a true people person. His witty sense of humor or his empowering smile could pull you in and make things better. Deep down he was just a remarkable young man and we are all so proud of his accomplishments. He loved being with his family and he meant the world to each and every one of us. Tyler was a person that lived life to the fullest and was “all in” no matter what; when fishing/hunting, on a dirt bike, snowboarding, camping, running T-Dogs hotdog cart at local events, any type of sport or just hanging out. He made such an impact on every person he met in so many different communities as he was such a well-rounded individual. His other passion was helping and caring for others as a PSW at BGH within Quinte Health Care where he had another family that meant the world to him. He loved his job and co-workers and always looked forward to going to work…not to say he wasn’t planning on fishing somewhere before or after though. This past Saturday did not go as planned, a day at work and a last minute fishing trip with devastating consequences. Our lives will never be the same and we hope he is able to fulfill his dream, being a hunting and fishing guide in his next chapter. A private funeral service attended by family only will be held at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee on Wednesday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. and will be live streamed on the funeral home website by clicking the link below the obituary, 10 minutes prior to service time, or any time thereafter.
