Timothy “Tim”‘s Obituary
The love of my life; my soul mate; rest in peace.
D’AUBIN, Timothy Allen May 29, 1960 – June 14, 2021. A dedicated and protective family man, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital with his wife Pam by his side. Tim enjoyed going for weekend drives with his wife and son whether it was over to Port George to watch the seals or driving the back roads looking for deer, going to see the Parsons and Dave Charlton’s cattle, to going and looking at the flowers in people’s gardens. His son was everything to him and was so proud of everything he overcame in his life. He loved going to the Wildcats hockey games with his son and the ongoing rivalry between them – one a Montreal Canadiens fan while the other a Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan, an ongoing bet between them of a Lotto ticket depending on which team won the game. Tim dedicated 43 years of his life to driving various delivery trucks. He was a hard-working man who started working at the age of 11 milking the cattle at DeBoer’s farm before going to school in the morning. During 1978-1980 he was a warehouse worker at TRA. In 1979 he took a truck driver course and then drove for various companies including Thompson’s Transfer, Hogg’s Trucking, Frank Illsley Woodworking (booming trusses) over the years from 1987-2002. In 2002 he started working for Fraser’s. You could always depend on Tim and he took pride in doing his job and his customers came first because they were the reason he had a job. Lifetime friendships were made with people at Fraser’s – know that your friendships meant the world to him! Tim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Pam (Llewellyn) and son, Daniel; sisters, Charlotte White (Bob), Dartmouth, Jane Bezanson (Leon), Bridgetown, Christine Grant, Bridgetown; brother, Ralph (Jennifer), Bridgetown; sisters-in-law, Darlene Bennett and Wendy Porter; brothers-in-law, Don and Bob Llewellyn. Many special nieces, nephews, and grandnieces whom he was very proud of and adored each of them. Predeceased by parents, Doug and Bertha D’Aubin; parents-in-law, Norman and Sheila Llewellyn. A special thank you to the staff at Valley Regional Hospital and to Dr. Puetz for her compassionate care in his last days. Cremation has taken place as per Tim’s wishes. People can pay their respects by attending an outside memorial at the Nictaux Fire Hall parking lot on June 27, 2021 between 1-3 pm. In keeping with COVID restrictions, social distancing must be adhered to. Private family burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., Middleton, NS toll free 855-825-3448.
