Susan Ivey Mack Steinke Monday October 18th 2021 avis de deces

Susan Ivey Mack
January 22, 1951 – October 18, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Susan Mack announce her passing. Sue claimed her wings peacefully at the Montfort Hospital after a long illness. She fought courageously and danced right until the very end.
Sue was loved dearly by her three children, Ryan, Kelly (Carolyn) and Rebecca (Nicolas), and her 5 grandchildren, Lucy, Lauryn, Marcus, Danica, and Wolf. Predeceased by her father Floyd Frank Steinke, and her mother Eleanor Susan (nee McGarvey). She will be sadly missed by her sister Jill (Bruce), her “bestest” Cousin Beth (Bruce), her former husband Ian (Alex), her long-time friend Larry, and her many friends and caregivers.
Sue will be remembered for her sense of humour, and her kind heart. She was always willing to lend an ear and words of support. She loved to laugh, and she loved her grandchildren more than anything else in this world. Through our memories, she will always have life in our hearts.
Travelling was a passion, and she spoke fondly of her travels and experiences. Sue was born in Pembroke, Ontario and received her Nursing degree in Kingston. She adored her years spent nursing and flourished during her years working with both children and adults with developmental disabilities. Before retirement, Sue worked as a travel agent and acted as an ambassador with the Defense Liaison’s Wives in Washington, DC.
There will be no service, instead a celebration of life will take place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ottawa Carleton Lifeskills.
