Age 91 of Halifax Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 12th, 2021. Born in Oyster Pond Jeddore Nova Scotia on July 7th ,1929, He was a son of the Late Maynard and Ruth (Ellis) Webber.
Stirling was a hard-working generous family man. He enjoyed everything about the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing and gardening.
He was kind, strong and very easy going. He would do anything for anyone if he was able and if not, he would always find a way.
He thoroughly enjoyed a long career at Halifax Transit for over thirty-six years as a Driver and then became a Supervisor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bernadette (Pottier); son, Peter (Cathy). The pride and joy of his life grandchildren Christopher and Allyson Webber, and many nieces and nephews; Sister, Ruth (Wally) Doucette, Beaver bank. He was predeceased by his sisters Doris (Ken) Hutt; Mary (Blake) Mitchell; Brother Maxwell.
Funeral Service will be held Friday February 19th, 2021 at Good Sheppard Parish (Saint Agnes Church) 10:00 am. Father James O’Connor officiating.
Due to Covid -19 restrictions, there will be limited seating and public health protocols will be in place. Pre-registration is required by phoning (902) 454-8200.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of your choice.
