Stewart Roy MacDonald Tuesday November 30th 2021

MacDonald, Stewart Roy – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stewart “Stu” MacDonald on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, in his 65th year at his home in Trenton. Stewart was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Claire MacDonald (Gibbons), and his brother Richard MacDonald. Survived by his sister Louise Danylchuk and his brother John MacDonald. Stewart was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces for over 25 years as a Refrigeration/ Mechanical Technician. Stewart worked across Canada at Early Warning Radar sites at Holberg, Sioux Lookout, St. Margarets, and Goose Bay (twice), plus further postings to Chilliwack, Shelburne, Borden, Moose Jaw, Petawawa, and finally Trenton, where he retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and joined Construction Engineering Branch as a Public Servant. His dedication and willingness to serve Canada was immense as he volunteered for deployments to the Golan Heights (twice), Bosnia, Haiti, Alert, and Kabul.
Stewart was always willing to lend a hand, had a huge heart, and if something was needed he would find a way to get it. He never ever wanted to have a fuss made over him, and always deflected the praise to his team mates. We will miss him, dearly.
If desired, donations to the Wounded Warriors would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111). To share memories of Stewart and for online condolences, please visit www.rushnellfamilyservices.com
