ELSIPOTOG, NB – “Stephen” Leonard Francis
77, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont
University Center in Moncton, on Monday, February 1, 2021.
Born in Big Cove, he was the son of the late Leonard Francis and late
Annie Jane (Joseph) Francis.
Stephen will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 31 years,
Shirley (Francis) Francis of Elsipogtog; three daughters, Stephanie
Francis (Alex) of Fredericton, Carol Hillman (Mark), Maureen Peters
both of Elsipogtog; six sons, Paul Stephen Francis (Beverly), Lorne
Francis both of Elsipogtog, Johnny Francis of Fredericton, Illya
Francis (Candace), Bronson Francis (Kristen) both of Elsipogtog, Grant
Sock (Samantha) of Bouctouche; step-children, Maryann Tomah, Eric
Tomah and Robyn Tomah all of Fredericton; daughter-in-law, Julia
Francis of Fredericton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and
his best friend Jade Hillman.
He is also survived by four sisters, Janie Heemskerk-Diel
(Rendert) of Harlingen, Netherlands, Marion Francis (Kenneth), Josie
Augustine (Frank), Karen Francis, Carol Sock (Leon); one brother,
Harvey Francis (Nora) all of Elsipogtog and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two daughters,
Audrey, Lorenda;three sons, Vernon. Eli, baby Joseph and baby brother,
Paul Jij.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Memorial Service celebrating
the life of Stephen will be announced at a later
date.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (523-4252).
